A pattern is a short sound you write once: a chord, a bass line, a beat. Make one with Melody or Beat on the left, write its notes in the Pattern view, then drag it onto a track in Arrange. Drag the edge of a clip to stretch it and the pattern repeats.
Shape the soundThe Sound tab has knobs for the instrument: cutoff, resonance, attack, release, vibrato, reverb and more. The Track tab mixes a track and adds effects (EQ, reverb, delay, distortion and others). Drag a knob up or down, scroll over it, or double-click to reset.
Sound effectsOpen Effects in the pool for ready-made sounds: coins, lasers, explosions, whooshes, risers. Drag them onto any track like a pattern.
KeysSpace plays and stops, Delete removes the selected clip or notes, S splits a clip at the start point (click the ruler to set it), Ctrl D duplicates a clip. In the piano roll, Shift-drag selects, right-click deletes and Alt-drag copies.
